A mosaic is a whole work that is created from many disparate pieces.
Mosaics are often made of different materials with different compositions, colors, sheens, materials, etc. Sometimes the pieces are broken, rough, or past their prime. Sometimes the pieces have been discarded. In the hands of a master artist, these pieces are brought together to create a unified work of beauty and wholeness. Each piece retains its own characteristics, but when put together with other fragments, they testify to the imagination and genius of the work's creator. |
That sounds like each of us, doesn't it?
Maybe we are a bit of a discard, a little rough around the edges, or with a crack that seems to take up our whole selves...
Yet in the hands of THE master Artist, we are in the process of being made whole... being made into something beautiful, the vision of which is held in the imagination and genius of our Creator.
We want to testify to that.
We are made whole to make whole through the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
Thanks be to God.
