Ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
~Ephesians 1: 15b-17
Back when I was first learning about Memorial Christian Church, I came upon a copy of The Christian Courier on your website.  I was immediately struck by the three phrases with exclamation points at the top of the newsletter. Share the Love! Teach the Word! Serve the World!
Now, having been an erstwhile English major, I tend to be a bit leery of exclamation points.  But I love the application in these phrases. These are mini-encapsulations of our calling and commissioning as followers of Jesus and as disciples (and Disciples) of Christ. To emphasize them is not only appropriate but essential!
As we begin ministry together here at MCC, I'm excited to find out what these exclamations mean to you. I'm looking forward to witnessing how you are sharing, teaching, and serving.  And I can't wait to receive the Love, learn the Word, and join you in serving the World.
What a good thing it is to have something to proclaim and exclaim!
It is a gift and a blessing to be your pastor,  April
